Longtime Carthage and Hartsville businessman, Jerry Gammon,聽passed away peacefully Sunday, June at his Morris Drive home with all his family at his bedside.
Mr. Gammon will best be remembered as the owner of Carthage Foodland and Hartsville Foodland and the former Ben Franklin Store in Carthage.
He is the husband of Carthage native, the former Suzanne Davis; and the father of Heather Gammon, Christine Gammon England and twins Julie Gammon Wyatt and Jerry Wayne Gammon; and sister, Jeanette Gammon Watts.
Funeral services are scheduled to be conducted Thursday, June 26, 2025, at 1 p.m. from the Carthage United Methodist Church of which he was a longtime member.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 25 from 2-8 p.m. at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home and again Thursday from 10 a.m. at the funeral home until departure for the church at 12:40 p.m.
