鈥 Mr. Bond鈥檚 Science Guys are back at the Macon County Public Library System for the 2025 鈥淐olor Our World鈥 Summer Reading Program on Thursday, June 12th. Join us for another summer of making science fun for kids!
As with all Summer Reading Program events, this program is free and open to the public. The performance for the Red Boiling Springs Branch Library will be held at the Old City Park under the pavilion on East Main Street, in Red Boiling Springs, Tennessee and will start at 3:00 pm. Performances for the Macon County Public Library will be held at Key Park under the back pavilion on Church Street in Lafayette, Tennessee and will start at 5:00 pm. Running time is approximately 45 minutes.
Mr. Bond and The Science Guys was started by Keith Trehy born in London, England, who came to the United States via a soccer scholarship with the American University in Washington, D.C. There, he earned a Bachelor of Science in chemistry. Eventually settling in Nashville with a 鈥淢ad Science鈥 franchise until 2007, Trehy now has a team of 鈥渆dutainers,鈥 teachers, and entertainers whose mission it is to show kids that science is fun, cool and easy. Three of the 鈥渕ad scientists鈥 who will be joining Mr. Bond (Trehy) at various events this summer include Professor Greybeard (John Wicks), Haz-Matt (Matt Simms) and Bionic Bond (Siena Trehy). Wicks is an IT professional who has a minor in theatre and spent time in Japan teaching English as a second language. Haz-Matt (Simms) is a Nashville musician and preschool music teacher with a love of science. Bionic Bond is Trehy鈥檚 daughter and a Goucher College Senior.
