A collision with a Metro Nashville Police vehicle left a Mt. Juliet man hospitalized early Saturday morning.
Around 12:40 a.m., an MNPD officer was traveling on ¿ì²¥ÊÓƵ Pike to a Walmart with his lights and siren on, responding to a call of a vehicle reportedly attempting to hit pedestrians.
According to MNPD, the officer saw what he believed to be the suspect’s vehicle traveling the opposite way on ¿ì²¥ÊÓƵ Pike near Tyler Drive, so he initiated a U-turn when the motorcycle traveling behind him collided with the driver side of the police vehicle.
That motorcyclist, Even Davis, 22, of Mt. Juliet, sustained critical injuries and was transported to Skyline Medical Center.
Davis’ current status has not been disclosed, and MNPD has not returned communication requests from The Democrat.
