The early voting period for the 2026 primary election for county and local offices begins today, April 15, and runs through the rest of the month to April 30.
Macon County voters will be able to cast their ballots at the Macon County Election Commission office, located at 607 Hwy 52 Bypass E, Suite C, in Lafayette.聽
Hours are Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturdays 8 a.m. to noon. Late night voting is Thursday, April 30, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Voters casting ballots on May 5 must go to their precincts listed on their voter registration cards. Anyone can go to to look up their voter registration information.
In 2022, 5,372 of the 14,788 registered voters in Macon County participated in the primary and general elections, for a voter turnout of 36.3%.聽
