A shoplifting at the Mt. Juliet Academy Sports+Outdoors store led to the arrest of two individuals by Mt. Juliet Police.
MJPD received a call from the retail store on Thursday, June 19, and when officers responded, one of the suspects, Gary Nolen, 36, of Cookeville, ran into his vehicle and drove away. Officers located him in a nearby parking lot where he allegedly gave a false identity to avoid arrest.
It was found later that Nolen was wanted in Overton County for failure to appear and probation violations related to theft, along with driving on an indefinitely suspended license.
Meanwhile, the other suspect, Ashley Holman, 39, of Livingston, reportedly attempted to hide in the store’s restroom; however, she was also apprehended and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal conspiracy.
Nolen and Holman were both booked into the Wilson County Jail.
